Wednesday, 21 November 2012 13:13:54 Europe/London

James Bryant Update : 30-10-12

Tuesday, 30 October 2012 14:38:29 Europe/London

On the night of the 14th of August 2012 we congregated, said goodbye to our families and flew to Kilimanjaro Airport. In total we had travelled for over 28 hours and were all glad to finally be sitting down to rest. We weren’t relaxing for long though as the next morning we were packed and leaving for the mountain, the entire group setting out in a convoy of safari jeeps and minibuses. We drove through local villages and towns, toured the barren countryside and traversed the steep and winding mountain path stopping only to sign our names in recognition of the start of our climb. From here on out we were travelling by foot.
