The inaugural Duke of Edinburgh UK Challenge Champions 2008 are…
Territorial Amey – Powered by Reflex Nutrition. Gaining the maximum possible 2000points, 250 points clear of second place it really was a convincing win ahead of some strong competition. It was a thrilling victory that we can only attribute
to a superb team effort. Every single member of our team gave everything they had both mentally and physically to overcome the challenges that were laid out before us. Our team, consisting of Andrew Gowans, Georgina Hammond, Chris People Lucy Radford and brothers’ Duncan & Jamie Codd had to push themselves to the limit and beyond, dipping into the reserves to pull through and cross the finish line.
But the team effort doesn’t stop there. We couldn’t have done it without your support and it was your help that got us across the finish line. Our thanks go to Amey Consulting for their support and Reflex nutrition for giving us the power to push through to the finish. (Products used: Tri-matrix, Peptide Fusion, Micro Wey and Pit-stop bars.)
The competition was very well organised and balanced the competitive aspect of the challenge superbly with the social gathering of teams pushing themselves with a common goal to raise money and awareness for the DofE Charity. If you would like to find out moreabout the Duke of Edinburgh Charity please check their website (www.DofE.org).
For all of those who would like to pledge money to the teams winning effort please go to (http://www.justgiving.com/territorial_amey). It really is a great cause and the DofE is an amazing charity that is providing an incredibly positive influence to both the youth and their communities in UK.
We are exhausted, elated, in agony, proud, and satisfied; and will take a couple of weeks off before we set our sights on next year and retaining the title. For a more in-depth account of the weekend’s activities approach any of the team, they’ll be more than willing to let you in on the trip… Just as soon as they get their breath back.
